A$AP Rocky, born Rakim Mayers on October 3rd, 1988 is a 24 year rapper from Harlem, NY. He began rapping at the age of 8 but didn’t take his rapping seriously until his late teens/ early 20’s. Growing up he listened to artist such as Bone Thugs -n- Harmony, Wu-Tang Clan, DMX, Three Six Mafia and other artist as well. A$AP Rocky’s music style is influenced by the Houston culture because he finds it attractive and melodic as well.
